This old straight keris estimated the dapur Sempaner. Dapur Sempaner is one of the keris forms of a straight keris. Although the appearance of this dapur is quite simple, it is very popular because historically Sempana keris was reserved for royal servants, senior government officials and nobles. Sempana literally means 'true dreams' or dreams that come true. Sempana in a deeper sense is a message, wishful thinking, hopes, ideals and desires when they are based on a true understanding that they become reality. The Kembang Kacang under the Ganja symbolizes an elephant's trunk. In ancient Indonesian mythology the God Ganesha, the elephant God, who symbolized knowledge, always inhaling knowledge with her trunk. A keris with dapur Sempaner will help the owner of the keris to realize his dreams, ideals and desires by constantly acquiring knowledge and using this knowledge to realize his dreams, goals and desires. I suppose the tangguh is Madura Mokoso (ca. 1900). The pamor is Mayang Mekar. The magical strength of the pamor Mayang Mekar is good for the living together with other people. Because of this strenght the owner will tell his people his own ideas and it will be positive for all. The kembang kacang is intact. The ganja is mbatok mengkureb.

The warangka is gayaman Madura style and made of black wood. The pendok is a pendok bunton Madura or also called Jawa Timurun. It is made of silver-colored brass. The handle is tumenggung style and made of black wood. The mendak is silver-colored.

The blade is 14 1/4 in (36.3 cm) long. The handle with mendak is 4 in (10 cm) long.
